I have decided to stop accepting Amazon.com giftcards. The shipping & import fees from Amazon.com to Canada are absolutely atrocious, and I am traveling to the US less frequently these days.
For those of you who were sending tributes and/or payments via Amazon.com GC, do not worry. One thing many of my subs don’t seem to know, is that you do not need to be Canadian to use Amazon.ca. You do not even need to make a new Amazon.ca account. All you have to do is follow the instructions below:
1. Go to Amazon.ca
2. Login using the same email address and password you use for Amazon.com
3. Go to the “Gift Cards” section (there’s a link under the Amazon search bar) and then click on eGift, or access it directly through this link.
4. If you are sending tribute, select the amount you wish to send, and send it to giftcards@missfaithrae.com with the message left blank. If you are sending a payment, I will confirm the amount you need to send in CAD based on the current exchange rate.
That’s it! If you have an Amazon.com account, you can send GCs via Amazon.ca. This goes for all of the Amazon sites. If you have an Amazon.co.uk account, an Amazon.com.au account, or any other Amazon account, you can still send payments through other countries’ Amazon sites.
Now, to thank me for this lesson, go send.
